So much happening in the Exchange District this weekend! Here’s a few…..

CONCERT MOVIES AT THE CUBE

On August 3, we’ll be screening the classic Talking Heads concert movie Stop Making Sense. With a special performance by Winnipeg’s own Yes We Mystic, DJ sets by Co-op and Hunnicutt and beer service from the Exchange District’s own Little Brown Jug, it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!

FIRST FRIDAYS BIKE-IN

Ever thought you’d like to bike into the Exchange District but weren’t sure if there was a safe and easy route to get there?

In partnership with Natural Cycle, we’ll be leading three, low-key rides on the First Friday of July, August, and September to show you how you can get into the Exchange District while almost entirely avoiding motor vehicle traffic— and we’ll share the tips and tricks that can make riding your bike into the Exchange District a really enjoyable experience along the way.

ART TALK/ART WALK

Art talk at the Winnipeg Free Press News Café, followed by an Art Walk in the area.

Paula Kelly is a Winnipeg filmmaker and co-curator of the current Winnipeg Art Gallery show Defying Convention: Women Artists in Canada, 1900-1960.
Paula, with moderator Alison Gillmor, will be talking feminist art history, overturning old artist stereotypes, and shining a light on some undervalued female artists.

Dinner and an informal art talk followed by a guided walk through Exchange Galleries & Studios

THE LAUNDRY ROOM THEATRE

Winnipeg’s first pop-up movie theatre is out now! Join Forth at the Laundry Room Theatre from August 2nd to August 10th to watch independent and experimental films from Manitoba and around the world.

Starts tonight @ 7 and runs all weekend long.
