About First Fridays
First Fridays in the Exchange was launched in Winnipeg on July 2, 2010. Based on artist Sue Gordon’s experience of the First Fridays event in Kansas City, she and fellow artist Karen Schulz introduced the concept to Exchange artists, galleries and shops. They received an amazing response and the event has been growing ever since!
First Fridays in the Exchange is dedicated to bringing together artists, artist-run centres, galleries, businesses and the public for a greater understanding, appreciation and promotion of the arts in the thriving Exchange District community.
