Wake Up Call @ Artbeat Studio (on now until November 24)
Artbeat Studio alumni Ryan Smoluk delivers a diverse collection of recent multimedia work on the fourth floor of 62 Albert Street. An advocate for mental health and well being, this autistic artist graduated from the University of Manitoba’s School of Art in 2013 and has been going strong ever since, showing in galleries all over Winnipeg.

Skit or Die 7 @ Wee Johnny’s (November 10)
Craving some laughs this weekend? Local comedy troupe HUNKS brings forth another edition of its hilarious sketch showcase Skit or Die, featuring a headlining slot from the always preposterous President Bear. Don’t miss contributions from Winnipeg’s favourite funny people RobYn Slade, Ryan Ash, JD Renaud and more! Cover is $5, with doors opening at 8pm.

Music of the Mad Men Era @ The Centennial Concert Hall (Nov 10-12)
The Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra is pairing up with beloved vocal group Five By Design to deliver all the hits of the ‘50s and ‘60s. As an added bonus, in between such hits as “Mack the Knife” and “Danke Schoen”, you’ll hear TV theme songs and commercials from the era as well, bringing that Mad Men vibe up a notch. Be a good Pete, dress up, and surprise your Trudy (or Peggy, or Beth) with tickets to this incredible throwback evening!
