First Fridays in the Exchange 

April 1st, 5 pm to late

The iconic community-wide arts event is back on the map, with dozens of Exchange District galleries, shops and restaurants participating this Friday. Bevvy Teyems is celebrating its reopening with a pop up artist market, Nonsuch Brewing Co is bringing back its popular guest chef series, Cordova Tapas and Wine is hosting the beloved Bodega Boogie and tons of shops are open late! Design Month 

April 1-30

Winnipeg Architecture Foundation, Storefront Manitoba and Flash Photographic Festival have teamed up to create Design Month, thirty days of design-related activities including exhibits, films, photography, tours, talks, workshops, challenges and more to celebrate architecture and design in our city. This includes Hidden Winnipeg, an architectural scavenger hunt which takes places throughout the Exchange District. Learn more about Design Month and register for individual events here.

Architecture + Design Film Festival

April 6-10

The 11th annual festival returns to Cinematheque, screening critically acclaimed films which focus on the importance of architecture and design in daily life. This year features films from Australia, Cambodia, Morocco, Denmark, UK, UA, Austria, Italy, Israel, Lithuania and Canada. The festival is presented by the Winnipeg Architecture Foundation. Fiddlers Green 420 Live Music Series

April 20, 1 pm-10 pm

The local retailer is throwing its first annual celebration of cannabis culture at Old Market Square. The event features a laid-back lineup of local musicians (including JD Edwards), a Little Brown Jug beer garden and a farmers market featuring neighbourhood shops and local vendors. The festivities end on a high note with an after party at King’s Head. Stay up to date here.

Spring Spruce Up and Donation Drive

April 29, 10 am -1 pm

Come out, support your community and help take care of our small corner of the planet! Donuts and coffee will be provided for anyone who participates in the Main Street Project donation drive or Spruce Up. We’d love to have you join us, but if you can’t make it out, you can still do your part by cleaning up around your building! We’ll also be accepting donations for Main Street Project all week leading up to the event at our office, located at 492 Main St. Please drop off donations between 9 am- 5 pm, or call to arrange a time.
