This Week in the Exchange for April 15-21, 2019

National Canadian Film Day @ Multiple Venues

April 17, 1-10:30pm

What if there was a day to watch movies for free at unique venues in the Exchange District?

Wouldn’t it be great if these were world class, award winning films, made right here in the Exchange?

Maybe these films tell stories about love and loss and dance and hockey. You know, the stuff that makes life worth living.

This Wednesday, April 17, is National Canadian Film Day, and we invite you to the Exchange to watch movies made right here, for free, all day long. With screenings at Across the Board, Nonsuch, The King’s Head, Cinematheque, and Forth, you’ll be entertained and experience something new. Maybe even culturally significant.

Everyone can use the hashtag #filmdayintheexchange on Instagram with pics at any venue to win a prize pack!

Members of the On Screen Manitoba and the Exchange District BIZ teams will be on hand with free buttons, t-shirts, and info about the Manitoba film industry, and to answer any questions you may have about the films you’re watching.
