The 34th Annual Preservation Award Ceremony

Since 1985, Heritage Winnipeg has been recognizing exemplary efforts in the field of heritage preservation. Their first year of awards, iconic buildings such as Dalnavert, the Bank of Hamilton (395 Main Street) and Bank of Montreal on Portage and Main would receive awards for their architectural conservation. Awards come in a variety of categories, including multiple forms of conservation (industrial, commercial, and residential), a distinguished service award, the Special Presidents Award, and a Youth Achievement Award.

The 34th Annual Preservation Award Ceremony took place this past Monday, on February 18th, in the recently renovated St. Vital Library. A crowd of roughly 70 people had gathered together to watch the presentation of seven well-earned awards. We are thrilled that four of these preserved buildings call the Exchange District their home and would like to recognize the efforts of the winners.
