Alleyways in the Exchange
This Friday, September 7, is also our final Alleyways in the Exchange of the season. Back by popular demand the feature of this event is our Alleyways Market curated by Lucky Girl Pop Up. But we’ve expanded the market this year to include Alleyways Swing – an outdoor dance floor where you can learn to swing dance and/or show off your moves and Alleyways is Alleyways Art Lounge – drinks, music, and public art bring the drayway at ArtSpace to life. This month international artist Yoel Jimenez will be here in Winnipeg to finish up the public art piece that has been evolving throughout the summer.
See our Facebook event for details.
Concert Movies at the Cube
Earlier this month we had our first Concert Movies at the Cube with a screening of the Talking Heads concert movie Stop Making Sense and it was a great success – with more than 400 people in attendance. And tomorrow we’re doing it again, this time featuring the Beastie Boys Awesome; I Shot That!
Popular local DJs Co-op and Hunnicutt will be back to get the party started and local hip-hop group 3PEAT will open with a live performance of their high energy sample driven beats. And we’ll be serving locally crafted Little Brown Jug beer out of our shipping container outdoor bar and food by Bodegoes.
