Unnecessary Farce at Royal MTC

April 19, 2016 - April 23, 2016

Unnecessary Farce
By Paul Slade Smith

On now until Sat, Apr 23/2016
JOHN HIRSCH MAINSTAGE

“The farce is strong with this one…a formidable laugh generator”
– Winnipeg Free Press

“It is a lot of fun — the kind of silly, pointless fun that’s entirely necessary sometimes” – CBC

When a town mayor is suspected of embezzling funds, two bumbling police officers set up a sting to lure him into a confession. Toss in a neurotic security guard, an accountant who can’t keep her clothes on and a bagpipe-wielding Scottish hitman, and things go hilariously awry in this tailspin of mistaken identities, surprise twists and unintentional innuendo.

RUNNING TIME: approx. 1 hour and 50 minutes, incl. intermission

WARNING: STRONG LANGUAGE, MATURE CONTENT, GUNSHOTS
