Join us on the patio! For the second year in a row, the Exchange District BIZ is partnering with Jazz Winnipeg for a concert series at Bijou Patio. Located in Bijou Park, the tree-lined, cobblestone plaza between the Cube and Main Street, Bijou Patio provides a Euro-style open air dining and drinking experience in the heart of downtown.
The Sadler Sisters – Elizabeth and Ashleigh – love to sing. Although their personalities may differ, they share many common musical influences and tastes. Hailing from Winnipeg, they grew up in a close-knit family who encouraged their musical interests. Singing in choirs growing up was the main source of their vocal training until later years. Fast forward to the present, both Elizabeth and Ashleigh have recently graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the University of Manitoba.
Currently, The Sadler Sisters perform a mixture of pop and jazz covers while recently starting to dabble in their own songwriting. They enjoy creating pared-down acoustic arrangements of popular music infused with jazz stylings. Known for their smooth blend, buttery voices and kind spirits while backed by some of Winnipeg’s finest up-and-coming instrumentalists, The Sadler Sisters won’t disappoint.
There are no reservations and seating is first come, first served. All shows are free of charge to attend. This event is part of Love the Exchange, a week-long celebration of everything there is to love about the Exchange District.
