Join us on the patio! For the second year in a row, the Exchange District BIZ is partnering with Jazz Winnipeg for a concert series at Bijou Patio. Located in Bijou Park, the tree-lined, cobblestone plaza between the Cube and Main Street, Bijou Patio provides a Euro-style open air dining and drinking experience in the heart of downtown.
Guitarist Aaron Shorr has been an active member of Winnipeg’s jazz community for nearly a decade. He has studied at Humber College in Toronto and the University of Manitoba, and has worked privately with New York guitar icons Jonathan Kreisberg, Peter Bernstein, and Miles Okazaki. Shorr is highly accomplished as a bandleader, sideman, and solo guitarist. Enjoying the openness of the guitar trio format, his music is informed by his love of the jazz tradition, as well as soul, folk, and classical music.
There are no reservations and seating is first come, first served. All shows are free of charge to attend. This event is part of Love the Exchange, a week-long celebration of everything there is to love about the Exchange District.
