“Missing or Forgotten: Akonessen, Zitya, Tina, Marie and all the others“ Opening: Friday, February 02, 2018 at 5pm till 11pm (Open for First Fridays. Official opening at 8pm) Running dates: February 02 – March 10, 2018 Curator: Sylvie Paré Artists: Hannah Claus, Nadia Myre, Sylvie Bernard, Mariette Manigouche, Diane Blacksmith, Lise Bibeau, Annette Nolett, Diane Robertson, and Akienda Lainé This traveling exhibition, produced in partnership with Les Productions Ondinnok Inc. and Commissioner Sylvie Paré, is a tribute to Aboriginal women who have been forgotten by history and silently disappeared. I have always wanted to be a potter, to feel and to mold clay. For many years it was a hobby as I pursued my life’s work as a scientist. Since my retirement I have become interested in photography as well as my pottery and they have taken on a Wildlife and Nature theme. I see my interest in Wildlife and Nature as A CONTINUUM of my life’s work as a scientist. Opening Reception & First Friday: March 30, 7-10 pm, Additional Gallery Hours: March 31-April 10, Tuesday to Friday, 12-6 pm Saturday, 12-5 pm
