Jovelle Balani is a Filipino-Canadian artist noted for her sultry, contralto voice. Her music incorporates from pop and old jazz to soul music—a sound that is uniquely hers. She draws her influences from artists such as Norah Jones, Sara Bareilles, Adele, Nat King Cole, to name a few.
On her debut single “Ode to a Lover,” Winnipeg artist fuses modern pop and jazz to create a relaxed, sitting-in-a-candlelit-jazz-bar soundscape.
