We’re in the heart of summer, and the Exchange District continues to be the perfect spot for taking in many of Winnipeg’s best festivals, patios, shopping and dining— or simply enjoying the gorgeous backdrop of our turn-of-the-century national historic district. This summer, we’re adding even more to the fun with Concert Movies at the Cube, which kicks off on Friday, August 3rd with Talking Heads’ iconic Stop Making Sense. Getting into the Fringe Spirit

The Winnipeg Fringe Festival brings creativity, colour, and theatrics into the Exchange District every summer throughout this incredible 10-day festival and this year we decided to join in the fun! We’ve created two new fringe style projects for the festival, a NEW Theatrical tour called Rebels, Riots, and Revolutionaries and a busk-stop style fringe show preview series called the Fringe Tiny Preview Series. We are excited to introduce our new wayfinders! You can easily spot these new additions to our team out and about in the Exchange District, possibly even on bike! Just as their name suggests our wayfinders are here to help you find your way around the Exchange District. Our area is growing fast, and we are introducing new active transportation infrastructure – like the new protected bike lanes, that have been beautifully painted by local artists. And we want to be sure that we are making the area accessible and easy to navigate for all modes of travel.
