Every Friday we’ll be letting you know about a few choice happenings in the Exchange! If you have an idea for something to be featured, email mcdonald@exchangedistrict.org with “Five Ways to Exchange” in the subject line.

THE FOOD

Kevin’s

A new ‘divine comfort food bistro’ just opened this month by the owners of Stella’s. This place will really broaden your view on mac n cheese – it’s a gourmet style version, with really interesting side dishes, wines, and a very innovative atmosphere (built in an alleyway between two buildings!).

THE DRINKS

Forth Cocktail Bar

Unique space…ambient atmosphere…and dangerously good cocktails. This is a place you can cozy up and spend the evening with friends, sipping top of the line cocktail creations.

THE SHOP

Wildwood Rose Vintage

This unique shop, started by Canadian costume designer Patti Henderson, offers an eclectic array of high end vintage finds. The shop owners dreamed up and run the incredibly cool Wildwood Rose Vintage market every summer in Old Market Square. Great place to find one-of-a-kind pieces for your wardrobe.

Wildwood Rose is located at 301-290 McDermot Ave. (look for the sandwich board outfront, take the elevator to the 3rd floor, and follow the signs!) *Added bonus there are lots of interesting shops in this building! Visit wildwoodrosevintage.com to get a glimpse at what you’ll find.

THE GALLERY

Urban Shaman Contemporary Aboriginal Art Gallery – Missing or Forgotten: Akonessen, Zitya, Tina, Marie and all the others

This travelling exhibition is a tribute to Aboriginal women who have been forgotten by history and silently disappeared. In addition, the exhibition presents a work by the filmmaker Wendat Akienda Lainé and a collective art installation.
