Old Market Square Booking Procedure

Certain approvals from the City of Winnipeg and the Exchange District BIZ must be sought for the use of Old Market Square Park. This outline is meant to be used as a guide as may not contain a complete list of information required for organizing an event at Old Market Square. The Exchange District BIZ does not assume liability or responsibility for the accuracy and completeness in the information contain herein.

The following is a brief outline of the steps to be taken when considering booking the Old Market Square Park and/or Cube Stage.

Step 1: Exchange District BIZ – Old Market Square Event Application
All event organizers must apply with the Exchange District BIZ for use of the park. The use of Old Market Square is administered and approved by the Exchange District BIZ. All event organizers must complete an Old Market Square Event Application form and return it to the Exchange District BIZ office.

Step 2: City of Winnipeg Events Booking Application
Once the application with the Exchange District BIZ has been approved, the event organizer must contact the City of Winnipeg Special Events Department to submit an Events Booking application. This is an agreement between the event organizer and the City of Winnipeg Special Events Department; which allows the event to take place in Old Market Square during the specified days with approval.

Step 3: City of Winnipeg
Upon approval from City of Winnipeg Special Events Department; the event organizer may be required to take out various permits from the City. Please contact the Exchange District BIZ or City of Winnipeg Special Events Department for more information.

Step 4: Event Confirmation
Once the event organizer has received approval from the City of Winnipeg and obtained all required permits, the organizer must contact the Exchange District BIZ and provide proof they have obtained all necessary and relevant documents (permits, City of Winnipeg Special Events Agreement and completed site plan).

Notes:
It is the responsibility of the park user to comply with all applicable regulations outlined by the Exchange District BIZ and the City of Winnipeg. If the user fails to comply with the presented terms, the Exchange District BIZ has the right to terminate the event without notice and withhold any booking deposits.

The Exchange District BIZ is not responsible for any damages or losses suffered by the user during use of any part of Old Market Square.
