Now throughout the year, the Exchange District BIZ Maintenance Crew clears snow, tidies the streets and sidewalks, provides litter control, plants and waters flower beds throughout the district, and removes graffiti. The Maintenance Crew is also on duty during major events, helping with set up and providing festival-goers with information on the area’s amenities. They can help with directions and questions about the Exchange District- watch for them driving around the Sport for Life Centre and Contempra Signs Clean Team golf cart!
Graffiti Control TAG Team
The Exchange District BIZ offers a free year-round graffiti removal service. If your property is ever tagged, simply give the BIZ office a call at 791-7847 to report the incident and have our team come out to have it removed.
The recently formed TAG Team (Teaming up Against Graffiti) partnership between the Exchange District BIZ and the West End BIZ will allow both groups to better equip and expand our individual graffiti removal services. Pooling resources will also allow for a greater impact on our communities and in other high profile areas of the city.
The province’s Urban Green Team program and Federal Summer Work Student Exchange provide funding assistance for the Exchange District BIZ Clean Team during the summer months.
