The Exchange District BIZ is excited to announce Winnipeg based strategist and consultant David Pensato as its new Executive Director.
Over the last few months, the Board of the Exchange District BIZ has worked in collaboration with Matt Erhard, Managing Partner of Summit Search Group, to interview dozens of excellent candidates for this unique opportunity.
“David’s reputation for thoughtful innovation on projects ranging from large-scale planning initiatives to small business brand strategies gave us confidence in his ability to provide leadership that comes with the right mix of perspectives in serving our members” said Board Chair, Sherry Telfer. “After meeting with him, it became clear that he has a genuine love for the Exchange District and understands the importance of maintaining and fostering its distinct character. That was really important to us.”
David is best known in The Exchange District as creator and co-founder of the award-winning Alleyways Market (in The Exchange). He also played a key role in The City of Winnipeg’s SpeakUpWinnipeg initiative and has worked closely with The Forks, Creative Manitoba and dozens of small and medium businesses and organizations throughout the province.
Current Executive Director Brian Timmerman, who has been with the BIZ since 2003, announced his retirement in July. Mr. Pensato will begin his position with the Exchange BIZ on September 5, 2017.
